Allergy-Friendly Sex in a Pan Prep Time 1 hour 30 mins Total Time 1 hr 30 mins Yields 16 This is the allergy-friendly version of the unrepentant dessert Sex in a Pan, which may get its name from its six layers, or may get its name because it's awesome. I wait to garnish just before serving by grating a little bit of chocolate over the top using a fine grater , and then sprinkling just a bit of chopped pecan on top. I was worried that the textures would simply fail would layers upon layers of dessert goo really work when it came to slicing and eating? If you make this or any of my recipes, I'd love to see your results! Remember, just like a cookie, this crust will not look set when you remove it from your oven. I immediately resolved to make an allergy-free iteration sweetened only with dates and bit of honey, and yet preserve amazing taste. Developing my version was quite an adventure:

First you'll make a basic shortbread type of crust by combining butter with flour and nuts, and spreading that into a 9 x 13 inch glass baking dish, and baking it. A decadent and well loved dessert made with a shortbread pecan crust and layers of cream cheese, pudding and whipped cream. Frankly even though they are all different, that's perfectly fine with me. Just snap a photo and hashtag it DeepSouthDish on social media or tag me deepsouthdish on Instagram! It sure has made multiple appearances in my life, that's for sure. I wait to garnish just before serving by grating a little bit of chocolate over the top using a fine grater , and then sprinkling just a bit of chopped pecan on top. Whip together two small packages of chocolate pudding with 3 cups of milk until slightly thickened and spread that over the cream cheese layer. If you make this or any of my recipes, I'd love to see your results! Over the chocolate pudding layer, you'll add a layer of plain whipped topping. I could eat a whole bowl of just this stuff! Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight - 24 hours is even better.
